Mental landscape, 1993-1995
The works in the 'Mental landscape' series, begun in 1993, relate to lands where death reigns. The bunkers, whose architecture is more reminiscent of a mausoleum than a place to live, even in wartime; the ruins and cemeteries. The works cemeteries were created using the optical mise en abīme technique, creating the sense of being plunged into an abyss by means of parallel mirrors, which will be used later for the 'Farm sets' series.
